Jonah Bryant & Amelie Haworth win Boys U19 & Girls U19 titles at 2024 English Junior Squash Championships

Jonah Bryant and Amelie Haworth won the Boys U19 and Girls U19 titles respectively at the 2024 English Junior Squash Championships staged at the Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club in London.
18-year-old Jonah Bryant, top seed in the boys’ event, retained his U19 crown after overcoming 2nd seed Abd-Allah Eissa 11-4 11-9 11-5, whilst Amelie Haworth, top seed in the girls event, defeated Mariam Eissa 11-9 11-4 11-9 to improve on last year’s semi-final exit.
No.2 seed Ronnie Hickling built on last year’s semi-final finish at the BU17 event to win this year’s final, beating Viggo Hendricks 11-8 11-9 11-5. Top seed in the girls U17 Emily Coulcher-Porter defeated 2nd seed Elizabeth Dicker 11-3 11-8 11-6.
In the GU15 final, top seed Harriet Broadbridge defeated Renata Colabella 11-2 11-5 11-1, whilst George Griffiths beat Gabriel Chak 11-9 11-8 11-7 to win the boys U15 title.
Esther Chak claimed the girls U13 trophy with an 11-3 11-3 11-5 win over Nadiya Ismail, with the boys U13 trophy going to Alexander Koa-Wing who upset the seedings to take out title favourite Oscar Brown 13-11 11-5 11-8.
In the boys U11 final, No.2 seed Logan Willstrop, son of former World No.1 and UNSQUASHABLE player James Willstrop went down in four games to top seed Ben Lamond. Siona Mishra was crowned the girls U11 champion after beating Ada Brown Ada Brown 10-12 11-8 11-7 12-10.
Finally, the Mixed U9 event was won by top seed Naishe Matamisa with the current British U9 National Squash Champion, defeated Gabriel Cannistraci 14-12 11-4 11-2.
