Will Salter Reaches 2025 Harrogate Squash Open Semi-Finals

UNSQUASHABLE player Will Salter produced a strong and composed campaign at the 2025 PSA Harrogate Squash Open, reaching the semi-finals after a series of assured performances at Harrogate Sports & Fitness Centre.

The No.3 seed began his tournament with a bye before opening his on-court account in emphatic fashion against Poland’s Mateusz Marcinkowski. Will quickly established control, imposing his length and tempo from the outset to secure a comprehensive 11-5 11-6 11-3 victory in just 28 minutes. The result set the tone for a confident week, with the Englishman showing clarity in shot selection and authority through the middle of the court.

Will was tested more sternly in the quarter-finals by fellow Englishman Anthony Rogal. After dropping a tight opening game, Will responded impressively, tightening his lines and increasing the pressure with proactive volleying. His ability to dictate rallies and shift momentum proved decisive as he reeled off three commanding games to claim a 9-11 11-3 11-4 11-2 win in 41 minutes and book his place in the last four.

The semi-final presented a significant challenge against top seed Lwamba Chileshe of New Zealand.
