Anastasiia Kostiukova reflects on her three most recent tournaments on the PSA World Tour
October 07 2022
Madeira International:
Reached the semi-finals in Madeira, won the second seed Catriona Allen & lost in the semi-finals to Kiera Marshall 3-2. I was pleased with how I performed but was very angry with myself that I did not reach the final beccause it was so close.
GWC Squash House Challenger, Greenwich, USA:
Lost in the first round in the USA 3:1 to Hannah Blatt in a very close fight, of course, I was dissatisfied with myself, but many factors played here, including the long flight.
PSA Saarland Open, Germany:
Took second place in Germany by playing the final 3-2. I made a big mistake, relaxed thinking that it would be easy after the first game, for which I received, of course, there will be a lesson.
In general, I am satisfied with myself, especially with the performance in Portugal. The trip took a month & it's certainly not easy. I'm homesick & tired of being on the road, but at the same time I'm glad to be able to play tour.
Thanks to everyone who helps me, to the one who bought me tickets for these trips, thanks to the tournament organisers & thanks to my sponsor UNSQUASHABLE for your support & equipment!
