James Willstrop named PSA October Player of the Month

A standout month for UNSQUASHABLE brand ambassador & sponsored player James Willstrop has been rewarded by the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour as he is named October’s player of the month.
The award comes on the back of a fantastic two tournaments in the U.S where he defeated Miguel Angel Rodriguez, Simon Rösner & young Diego Elias.
He narrowly missed out on a first major PSA World Tour title since the 2014 China Open as he was defeated by World Champion Gregory Gaultier in the NetSuite Open final. His excellent form continued into the Delaware Investments US Open where he secured his first semi-final place in a World Series event since 2014, beating Omar Mosaad, rising Egyptian star Mohamed Abouelghar & Stephen Coppinger before his progress was halted by the eventual winner & reigning World No.1 Mohamed ElShorbagy in a hard fought 3-0 defeat.
An excellent month saw James Willstrop rise up the PSA World Rankings to No.11 as he looks to break into the World Top 10 in the coming months.
