Nick Wall reaches quarter-finals of the 2023 British National Squash Championships

Nick Wall was denied a place in the semi-finals of the 2023 British National Squash Championships by fellow Englishman Adrian Waller who secured a coveted spot in this year's semis with an impressive straight-game victory. 4th seed Adrian Waller, a runner-up to Joel Makin in 2021, encountered a stern challenge from his compatriot before eventually closing-out an 11-9 11-4 11-9 victory.

The opening game proved a closely fought battle, with both players displaying tenacity and skill, preventing either from establishing a decisive lead. Nevertheless, a series of unforced errors from Nick Wall towards the latter stages handed Waller a crucial advantage and allowed him to secure a 1-0 advantage.

The second game painted a contrasting picture, with Waller playing with impeccable accuracy and conceding just four points.

The third game witnessed a spirited tussle as Nick Wall persistently challenged his more experienced opponent, yet Waller maintained his composure to clinch a 3-0 victory in 39 minutes.

Nick Wall will today play 4th seed Adrian Waller in the quarter-finals of the British National Championships after defeated fellow UNSQUASHABLE player Miles Jenkins 11-6 11-9 8-11 11-2 in 57 minutes in his opening match.

George Parker was denied a place in the quarter-finals by former finalist Joe Lee who triumphed with a hard-fought 11-9 9-11 7-11 12-10 11-7 victory in 69 minutes.

Miles Jenkins has qualified for the main draw of the 2023 British National Squash Championships at the prestigious St. George's Hill Club in Surrey, England where he will join fellow UNSQUASHABLE players Nick Wall, who he will face in the 1st round of the main draw, and George Parker.

Miles Jenkins followed-up his a 39-minute 11-4 11-8 11-8 victory over Ruudi Clarke in the 1st round of qualifying with an equally impressive 46-minute 14-12 8-11 11-1 12-10 win over win over Jack Mitterer in the final round of qualification.

Nick Wall and Miles Jenkins will face each other today in the 1st round, whilst George Parker will play former finalist Joe Lee in his 1st round match.

The 2023 British National Squash Championships get underway today at the prestigious St. George's Hill Club in Surrey & will feature UNSQUASHABLE players Nick Wall, George Parker & Miles Jenkins.

Nick Wall, seeded No.5, will play a qualifier in his opening match, whilst 6th seed George Parker will face former finalist Joe Lee in his 1st round match.

Four players from both the men’s and women’s qualification will advance to the main draw. Miles Johnson will be hoping to join Nick Wall & George Parker in the 1st round, but will first have to successfully navigate two qualifying rounds.
