The 2022 PSA Grasshopper Cup proved disappointing for #teamunsquashable.

Following the enforced withdrawal of Spanish No.1 Iker Pajares Bernabeu on the eve of the championships following an injury whilst competing in the Spanish Cup, Lucas Serme, George Parker & Anna Serme were all unable to progress to the 2nd round of the PSA World Tour event.

Lucas Serme of France, playing his first match since having to withdraw from last week’s U.S. Open following hospital treatment after suffering concussion & a perforated eardrum in his 2nd round match against Mostafa Asal, was unable to overcome compatriot Baptiste Masotti on the opening day of the PSA Grasshopper Cup being staged in Zurich.

After a close first game tie-break, Baptiste eventually closed-out a 32-minute 12-10 11-5 victory at Squash Arena Uster.

George Parker was denied by former World No.3 Omar Mosaad in a feisty contest on the all-glass show court at Squash Arena Uster in the 1st round of the PSA Grasshopper Cup in Zurich.

The young Englishman was unable to advance to the 2nd round against his experienced opponent who edged a closely contested match that saw several refereeing decisions despite.

Czech No.1 Anna Serme capped a disappointing day for #teamunsquashable at the PSA Grasshopper Cup in Zurich after losing in straight games to Swiss No.1 Cindy Merlo who thrilled the home crowd with a commanding performance on the all-glass show court at Squash Arena Uster.
