Rory Stewart reaches Scottish National Championship final

UNSQUASHABLE player Rory Stewart consolidated his position as Scotland No.2 but was a maiden Scottish Squash National Championship title by top seed Greg Lobban at the Newlands Lawn Tennis & Squash Club, Glasgow, Scotland.

The Scottish No.2 defeated John Green 11-8 11-4 11-6 in his opening match, having received a bye in the 1st round, before beating Matthew Bedwell 11-6 11-5 11-4 in the quarter-finals and 3rd seed Alasdair Prott 11-6 11-4 9-11 11-8 in the semi-finals.

In the eagerly anticipated final, Rory Stewart was denied 11-5 11-9 11-1 by Scottish No.1 Greg Lobban.
