Iván Pérez finishes top 8 at European Individual Closed Squash Championships
Iván Pérez of Spain finished in the top eight of the European Individual Closed Squash Championships staged at the Sportwerk Club in Hamburg, Germany following a succession of fine performances including a giant-killing win over Auguste Dussourd of France & extending Sebastien Bonmalais to five games before eventually being by the 3/4 seed 11-5 11-8 7-11 6-11 11-4 after 63 minutes.

Iván Pérez produced the biggest shock on the opening day of the European Individual Closed Squash Championships with a thrilling 70-minute 11-9 6-11 2-11 11-5 11-7 victory over Auguste Dussourd of France after defeating Ivan Krznaric of Croatia 11-5 11-6 11-7 in his 1st round match.

#teamunsquashable were also represented at the championships by Anastasiia Kostiukova of Ukraine & Ambre Allinckx of Switzerland

Anastasiia Kostiukova defeated Moa Bonnemark of Sweden 7-11 5-11 11-8 11-8 11-1 in the 1st round before being beaten 11-4 11-2 11-6 in the 2nd round by 2nd seed Tinne Gilis of Belgium.

Ambre Allinckx, who was making her long-awaited return to competition after an extended period out of the game through injury, battled hard before eventually being denied in 62 minutes by Enora Villard of France 4-11 11-9 8-11 11-7 11-6.

Moustafa Elsirty reaches quarter-finals of PSA CIB Zed Squash Open
Moustafa Elsirty battled hard against fellow Egyptian Youssef Soliman in the quarter-finals of the inaugural CIB Zed Squash Open held at Zed Park in Cairo before eventually being denied by the top seed 11-6 11-4 11-7.

Seeded 5th for his opening Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour event of the new season, Moustafa Elsirty avoided a shock defeat to fellow Egyptian Aly Abou Eleinen in the 2nd round as he prevailed in a five-game thriller to reach the quarter-finals. Moustafa Elsirty came back from two games down to prevail 8-11 5-11 11-7 11-8 11-6 in 77 minutes.

Moustafa Elsirty received a bye in the 1st round & played Aly Abou Eleinen in his opening match after Aly Abou Eleinen defeated fellow Egyptian Yassin Shohdy in the 1st round.

Yannick Wilhelmi reaches semi-finals of PSA Costa North Coast Open in Australia
Yannick Wilhelmi was denied a place in the final of the PSA Costa North Coast Squash Open by 3rd seed Addeen Idrakie of Malaysia who overcame Switzerland’s No.6 seed with a hard-fought 56-minute victory at the Coffs Harbour Squash & Swim Centre in Australia.

It was the first time that Yannick Wilhelmi & Addeen Idrakie had played each other on the PSA World Tour & the semi-final proved to be close & evenly matched contest with the Malaysian taking the first on a tie-break, before Yannick Wilhelmi levelled the match after winning the second game 11-8. Idrakie however was able to wrestle back the momentum to close-out a 12-10 8-11 11-7 11-8 victory.

In the quarter-finals, Yannick Wilhelmi defeated Matthew Lai of Hong Kong 5-11 11-9 11-4 11-5 in 44 minutes.

Fellow #teamunsquashable player Lwamba Chileshe of New Zealand was beaten in the quarter-finals by Abhay Singh of India who progressed with a 58-minute 6-11 11-3 3-11 11-5 11-8 victory.

Yannick Wilhelmi & Lwamba Chileshe have reached the quarter-finals of the PSA Costa North Coast Open being staged at the Coffs Harbour Squash & Swim Centre in Australia.

Both players received bye in the 1st round but progressed to their respective quarter-final places with contrasting victories.

Yannick Wilhelmi of Switzerland defeated Chung Yat Long of Hong Kong 11-8 11-3 11-2 in 21 minutes, whilst Lwamba Chileshe of New Zealand overcame wild card Elijah Thomas 11-7 11-7 8-11 6-11 11-7 in 57 minutes.

Fellow #teamunsquashable player Temwa Chileshe was beaten by Elijah Thomas 7-11 11-6 6-11 11-9 11-8 in a tough 74-minute 1st round match.
