Yuri Farneti wins eighth consecutive Italian National Championship title

Yuri Farneti was in dominant form at the 2022 Italian National Championships in Riccione where he won an eighth consecutive national title without dropping a game.
The Italian No.1 started his campaign with an 11-2 11-1 11-9 victory over Federico Fambri, followed by an equally impressive 11-3 11-1 11-1 win over Lorenzo Corbani to reach the quarter-finals where he accounted for Tiberio Negro 11-1 11-6 11-3.
In the semi-finals, the defending champion beat Goffredo Scanga 11-0 11-2 11-1 & claimed his eight title with an 11-5 11-1 11-5 victory over 2nd seed Mattia Mulazzani.
