Yuri Farneti wins PSA Città d'Italia Squash Championship

Italian No.1 Yuri Farneti defeated a succession of Scottish opponents on his way to winning the 2023 Città d'Italia Squash Championships at the Eurosporting Cordenons venue in Italy.
The 8-time Italian Champion won his 17th Professional Squash Association (PSA) title with wins over Andrew Glen, Martin Ross & John Meehan in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final respectively.
In the quarter-finals, the Italian top seed defeated Andrew Glen 11-3 11-4 11-5 followed by an 11-8 11-6 11-8 semi-final win over Martin Ross.
Despite dropping a game in the final, the top seeded Italian overcame fellow UNSQUASHABLE player John Meehan 11-6 5-11 11-3 11-9.
