Daniel Mekbib is the leading Czech male player on the PSA World Tour who joined #teamunsquashable in 2022 having made his debut on the international circuit in 2008.

Despite his first semi-final coming at the 2014 Cobendai Castellana Open, Daniel had to wait a further three years before reaching his first final which came at the 2017 Conseil General du Gard Ville de Nimes Open du Gard.

Daniel broke inside the world’s top 100 in 2018, following run of good performances which included winning his first two PSA World Tour titles, both in Canada, at the Guilfoyle Financial PSA Squash Classic and the Big Head Wines White Oaks Court Classic.

A string of semi-final appearances followed in the early part of 2019, before Daniel went on to win the Medicine Hat Open, again in Canada, and the IMET Open in Slovakia which saw him climb inside the World’s top 75.

In 2020, the Czech No.1 won the Guilfoyle Classic for a second time as well as reaching the final of the Austrian Open. Several quarter-final finishes followed in 2021, including at the Czech Open, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Nash Cup.

In his first PSA World Tour event of 2024, Daniel defeated top seed and compatriot Martin Svec 11-8 11-4 11-6 to win the PSA Brno Squash Open 2024 staged at the Centrum Viktoria in Brno, Czech Republic.
