IVÁN PÉREZ

Iván Pérez is an exciting young Spanish player who is based at Barcelona Global Squash (BGS) Academy under the stewardship of Victor Monserrat.

Winner of 10 Professional Squash Association (PSA) titles
Spanish U19 Junior Champion

Iván Pérez joined #teamunsquashable as a junior and after being crowned Spanish Junior Champion and Spanish Junior No.1 made his PSA World Tour debut in 2019.

Whilst his initial progress was restricted by the enforced six-month suspension of the PSA World Tour due to the COVID19 pandemic, Iván Pérez claimed his maiden title on the international circuit in 2021 at the PSA Open Squash Aguadulce in Spain.

A period of sustained consistency and a second PSA World Tour title at the PSA Open de Cognac in France pushed the Spaniard inside the world’s top 100 for the first time before ending 2021 as runner-up at the RFES Spanish Open Ciudad de Palencia.

In 2022, Iván Pérez claimed the 2022 PSA Carlisle Open in England and successfully defended his PSA Open de Cognac title in France to ensure that he continues to make progress in the senior ranks.

Iván end the 2022/23 season by reaching the final of 2023 PSA Gibraltar Open where he fought valiantly against Velavan Senthilkumar of India in the final before eventually being denied 18-16 11-8 11-7 at the Europa Sports Centre.

In March 2024, Iván Pérez defeated Mohamed Nasser of Egypt in the final of the PSA Club Euro Sport Squash Open 2024 to claim his sixth PSA career title.

In April 2025, Iván defeated Elijah Thomas in the final of the PSA Rotterdam Open at the Victoria Squash in the Netherlands to claim his seventh PSA World Squash Tour title and the follwing week reached the final of the 2025 PSA Club Euro Sport Open Squash Championships at Club Euro Sport, Platja de La Pineda in Catalonia, Spain.

Iván ended the 2024-25 squash season with a succession of spectacular wins over higher ranked opponents to reach the final of the 2025 PSA Dominicana Open staged on an all-glass show court erected inside the Shopping Agora Mall in Santo Domingo.

The start of the 2025-26 squash season witnessed Iván continue his impressive form as he captured the biggest title of his career at the 2025 PSA Andorra Open, producing a superb performance in the final to defeat top seed Grégoire Marche of France 11-9 3-11 11-3 11-8 in 52 minutes at the Centre Esportiu d’Ordino.

In February 2026, Iván produced an impressive run to the final of the 2026 Campeonato de España de Squash, only to be halted in the title decider by long-time rival and fellow UNSQUASHABLE player Iker Pajares Bernabeu.

Iván added another significant achievement to his PSA World Tour career in May 2026 by capturing the 2026 ECP Squash Open title at Esporte Clube Pinheiros. Competing as the No.2 seed, the Spaniard delivered a series of composed and tactically accomplished performances across the tournament, finishing with a commanding 11-2 13-11 12-10 victory over top seed Toufik Mekhalfi in the final. His title success in São Paulo was followed by a runner-up finish at the 2026 BH Squash Open the following week, after a series of high-quality performances at Academia BH Squash in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
