Iker Pajares Bernabeu wins 2025 PSA Valencia Open

UNSQUASHABLE player Iker Pajares Bernabeu defeated former World Junior Champion Hamza Khan of Pakistan 11-8 11-5 11-4 in 36 minutes to win the 2025 PSA Valencia Squash Open staged at the Complejo Deportivo Olympia SPA & Fitness in Spain.
The Spanish No.1 and 5-time Spanish Champion capped a flawless week on home soil with straight-game victories over James Peach of England, Matthew Lai of Hong Kong, and compatriot and fellow UNSQUASHABLE player Iván Pérez enroute to the final to underline his status as the tournament’s top seed and firm favourite.
The eagerly anticipated final saw an equally dominant before from the Spaniard over the 19-year-old Pakistani who delivered his most significant run on the PSA Tour to date with impressive victories over Hugo Lafuente Jaén, third seed Yassin Elshafei, seventh seed Brice Nicolas and Joshua Phinera to earn a place in the final.
Despite his inspired form, Hamza Khan was unable to trouble the experienced Iker Pajares Bernabeu in a one-sided 36-minute final. The Spaniard, chasing his 12th PSA World Tour Squash title, was in complete control throughout the contest to close-out his first PSA title on Spanish soil since 2017.
Iván Pérez secured impressive wins over Jakub Solnicky and Perry Malik before being denied 11-6 11-5 11-8 in a hardfought 68 minute semi-final by the eventual champion.
Alongside Iker Pajares Bernabeu and Iván Pérez, the 2025 PSA Valencia Squash Open also featured UNSQUASHABLE players Diego Gobbi of Brazil and Will Salter of England.
