Iker Pajares Bernabeu reaches Hong Kong Football Club Squash Open 2023 semi-finals

Iker Pajares Bernabeu followed-up the impressive form that saw the Spanish No.1 claim the recent Squash Open International Niort Venise Verte in France to reach the semi-finals of the 2023 Hong Kong Football Club Squash Open.
Following a bye in the opening round at the Hong Kong Football Club, the fourth seeded Spaniard defeated Faraz Khan of the USA 11-9 11-4 11-7 in 45 minutes to reach the quarter-finals where he overcame Nathan Lake of England 14-12 11-7 4-11 11-4 in 53 minutes.
In the semi-finals, the 3-time Spanish Champion came up against 2nd seed, and eventual champion, Aly Abou Eleinen of Egypt who delivered a near-flawless performance to claim a 44-minute 11-2 11-7 11-5 victory.
