Klara Møller wins Wake Up Open International d'Angers to claim maiden PSA World Tour title

Top seed Klara Møller of Denmark won her maiden PSA World Tour final with an 11-9 11-4 11-8 victory over compatriot Caroline Lyng in the final of the PSA Wake Up Open International d'Angers in France.

Klara, ranked World No.116 coming into the event, started her campaign at the Club de Forme in Angers with hard-fought 49-miute 11-4 11-4 9-11 7-11 11-9 win over Wild Card Catarina Nunes of Portugal, followed by an equally determined 46-minute 13-11 11-7 13-15 11-7 victory over Ella Galova of France in the quarter-finals, despite losing a third game tie-break 15-13.

The Danish No.1 then went on to face another Frenchwoman, No.7 seed Kara Lincou in the semi-finals & once again lost a third game tie-break before eventually winning 11-2 12-10 10-12 11-7 in 42 minutes.

The final pitted Møller against compatriot & No.3 seed Caroline Lyng in an all-Danish final. A tight first game went the way of the top seed who was able to carry the momentum throughout the final to claim a memorable & much deserved 29-minute victory.

Fellow #teamunsquashable player Ambre Allinckx was denied a semi-final place by Kara Lincou who overcame the young Swiss in straight games.
