Nick Wall reaches PSA NASH Cup quarter-finals

Nick Wall was denied a place in the semi-finals of the PSA NASH Squash Cup 2023 by Curtis Malik who overcame his fellow Englishman 11-7 8-11 11-4 11-8 in a tough 50-minute encounter at the PSA NASH Cup 2023 being held at the London Squash & Fitness in Ontario, Canada.

Nick Wall, fresh from winning the biggest Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour event of his career at the Charlottesville Squash Open in Virginia, progressed to the quarter-finals of the PSA NASH Squash Cup 2023 with an 11-6 11-7 11-6 victory over Wild Card Salah Eltorgman.
Nick Wall, fresh from winning the biggest Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour event of his career at the Charlottesville Squash Open in Virginia, progressed to the quarter-finals of the PSA NASH Squash Cup 2023 with an 11-6 11-7 11-6 victory over Wild Card Salah Eltorgman.
The No.2 seed from England remains on course for back-to-back PSA World Tour titles and will play compatriot Curtis Malik in the quarter-finals of this year’s PSA NASH Squash Cup 2023 being staged at the London Squash & Fitness in Ontario, Canada.
Daniel Mekbib defeated Cory McCartney of Canada 11-7 11-6 11-8 in his 1st round match but was denied a quarter-final place by top seed Yahya Elnawasany of Egypt who overcame the talented Czech player 14-12 6-11 14-12 11-5 in a hard-fought 54-minute 2nd round match.
In other 2nd round matches, No.8 seed Andrew Douglas of the USA was beaten by Malaysia's Sanjay Jeeva in a tough five-game battle, while unseeded Finnlay Withington of England delivered an impressive performance to beat Portugal's No.6 seed Rui Soares to secure a place in the quarter-finals. Withington’s opponent will be Canadian No.1 David Baillargeon, the sole Canadian contender who remains in the tournament.
UNSQUASHABLE player Liam Marrison was engaged in a thrilling four-set battle with Spencer Lovejoy, the highest-ranked USA male player in the draw, before eventually being beaten 6-11 11-3 11-8 15-13 in highly competitive 48-minute 1st round match.
Lwamba Chileshe and brother Temwa Chileshe were also beaten in the 1st round by Dillon Huang of the USA and Sanjay Jeeva of Malaysia, respectively.
