Yannick Wilhelmi wins 2024 PSA Des Hauts de France

Yannick Wilhelmi of Switzerland claimed back-to-back PSA World Squash Tour titles with a 44 minute 14-12 11-6 11-9 victory over Edwin Clain to win the 2024 PSA Des Hauts de France in Lille.
The top seeded Swiss battled past former World Junior Champion Hamza Khan of Pakistan in his opening match, winning 11-7 7-11 11-9 9-11 11-6 in 57 minutes to progress to the quarterfinals where he overcame Hazem Hossam of Egypt 11-7 13-11 11-4 in 47-minutes.
In the semi-finals, Yannick defeated Malaysian Matthew Lai 11-9 11-5 14-16 11-4 in 58-minutes.
Following a tightly contested opening game in the eagerly anticipated final against his French rival, which the Swiss won with a tie-break, Yannick closed-out another impressive victory to claim his 9th PSA career title.
