The Spanish No.1 and 4-time Spanish Champion enjoyed a hugely successful campaign at the Polideportivo San Fernando in Cuenca, Spain to mark an encouraging start to the 2024-2025 squash season.

Straight-game victories over Luka Kustec of Slovenia (11-3 11-1 11-9) and Czech No.1 Martin Svec (11-3 11-4 11-2) preceded a giant-killing 64-minute 11-7 11-6 3-11 11-8 quarter-final victory over 2nd seed Baptiste Masotti of France.

After being denied a place in the final by Dimitri Steinmann of Switzerland, who claimed a closely-contest 63-minute 13-11 11-6 11-6 win in the semi-finals, the Spanish No.1 defeated Nicolas Mueller in the bronze medal play-off.
