Yannick Wilhelmi represented Switzerland at the recent World Games which were staged at the University of Alabama Recreation Center, Birmingham, Alabama, USA.
Seeded 9/16, Yannick defeated Harley Lam of Hong Kong 9-11 12-10 11-3 before being denied a quarter-final place by the eventual Gold Medal Winner Victor Crouin of France.
The World Games is an 11-day international multi-sport event organised with the support of the International Olympic Committee. Held the year following the Summer Olympic Games, the World Games 2022 showcased a New Generation of Global Sports with over 3,600 elite athletes from over 100 countries competing for gold in more than 30 of the fastest growing sports in the world.
