Cristina Tartarone wins Open Costa Brava Squash Project 2024

Cristina Tartarone claimed her fourth consecutive PSA title, and third since joining UNSQUASHABLE, to win the Open Costa Brava Squash Project 2024 staged at the Tipi Park Sports Center in Santa Cristina d'Aro, Spain.
The Italian No.1 and two-time Italian National Champion defeated Kara Lincou of France 11-9 11-5 11-9 in 28 minutes to win her first PSA Challenger Tour event, the biggest of her career so far.
Following a 1st round bye, Cristina Tartarone showed a level of consistency that saw her drop just two games in the tournament, with an 11-8 7-11 4-1 8-11 victory over seventh seed Caroline Lyng of Denmark, followed by a clinical 11-1 11-3 11-3 quarter-final win over Juliette Permentier of the Netherlands and an 11-4 11-9 4-11 11-7 semi-final triumph over Franka Vidovic of Croatia.
