Rory Stewart & George Parker denied in 2nd round of QTerminals Qatar Squash Classic 2023

Rory Stewart and George Parker were both beaten in the 2nd round of the QTerminals Qatar Squash Classic being staged at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex.

Following his 1st round win over fellow UNSQUASHABLE player Iker Pajares Bernabeu, Rory Stewart of Scotland was beaten in straight games by Mohamed ElSherbini, while George Parker was denied 11-8 11-13 11-8 11-6 in 61 minutes in his 2nd round match by Aly Abou Eleinen.

Rory Stewart and George Parker both registered notable 1st round wins at the QTerminals Qatar Squash Classic being staged at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex.

Rory Stewart recovered from losing the first two games of his 1st round match against fellow UNSQUASHABLE player Iker Pajares Bernabeu to eventually close out a hard-fought 10-12 11-13 11-6 11-5 11-4 win in 72 minutes, whilst George Parker defeated Shahjahan Khan of the USA 11-8 11-8 11-8 in 45 minutes.

Lucas Serme of France was beaten 11-5 11-5 11-6 by Qatar No.1 Abdulla Al-Tamimi in his 1st round match, whereas Todd Harrity was denied 9-11 11-4 9-11 14-12 11-6 by Scottish No.1 Greg Lobban in a closely fought 72-minute encounter.

The 2nd round of the QTerminals Qatar Squash Classic will see Rory Stewart play Mohamed ElSherbini of Egypt with George Parker up against another Egyptian Aly Abou Eleinen.

Spanish No.1 Iker Pajares Bernabeu will lead a strong contingent of UNSQUASHABLE players at the 2023 QTerminals Qatar Squash Classic which starts today at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha.

The 3-time Spanish Champion will face fellow #teamunsquashable player Rory Stewart of Scotland in his opening round match, whilst Lucas Serme of France will play local favourite Abdulla Mohd Al Tamimi who reached last year’s quarter-finals following a giant-killing run which included a spectacular 94-minute five-game victory over Paul Coll.

Leading USA player Todd Harrity will play Scottish No.1 Greg Lobban in his 1st round match, alongside George Parker of England who will take-on Shahjahan Khan of the USA.
