Iván Pérez wins PSA Carlisle Squash Open

Iván Pérez of Spain won a second Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour title of the season, following his victory at the Open de Cognac in November, & the fourth of his career with an hard-fought 11-3 7-11 6-11 11-8 11-3 victory over Ben Smith of England to win the PSA Carlisle Open which was staged to mark the 50th anniversary of Carlisle Squash Club in England.

The young Spaniard overcame fellow #teamunsquashable player Elliott Morris Devred in the semi-finals, whilst his opponent in the final beat Joel Arscott, the third UNSQUASHABLE player to reach the semi-finals.

All three players enjoyed a successful event to ensure that #teamunsquashable players occupied three of the four semi-final places.

Iván Pérez led the way by registering impressive wins of Lewis Doughty of England & Ryunosuke Tsukue of Japan in his opening two matches before getting the better of Elliott Morris Devred in a tough semi-final.

Elliott Morris Devred recorded wins over Liam Marrison of Canada & Christopher Binnie of Jamaica whilst Joel Arcott reached the semi-finals with wins over 4th seed Sean Conroy of Ireland & 6th seed Owain Taylor of Wales.
