Josh Masters who recently joined the growing stable of UNSQUASHABLE international players, captured his first ever Professional Squash Association (PSA) M10 World Tour title after winning the PSA Sunrise Foods International Saskatoon Movember Boast Squash Championship with an 11-6 4-11 16-14 11-8 win over Peter Creed in the Canadian final.

Joshua Masters eased past qualifier Nick Sachvie 11-8 17-15 11-8 in the 1st round, before defeating New Zealand’s Martin Knight 11-7 11-6 11-8 to set up a semi-final tie with Andrew Schnell whom the young UNSQUASHABLE player breezed past 11-7 11-4 12-10 to reach the final with relative ease.

In contrast, Josh Masters’ opponent in the final Peter Creed had a more challenging route to the final. The World No.67 had to navigate his way past Finnish duo Matias Tuomi & Henrik Mustonen, the latter being the tournament’s No.1 seed before defeating Michael McCue in the semi-final to set up a final clash with Masters.

After a confident start saw 21-year-old Josh Masters go a game up, Creed responded positively in the second, taking seven points in a row to pull away from 4-4 & level the match score at one game apiece. Creed’s momentum continued into the third game as he surged 7-3 ahead, but Masters battled back to force a tie-break, eventually taking it 16-14, before edging the fourth to seal the third PSA World Tour title of his burgeoning career.
