Lucas Serme withdraws from US. Squash Open but is making good recovery

October 12 2022

We are pleased to inform our followers that despite having to withdraw from the U.S. Squash Open in Philadelphia, Lucas Serme is making a good recovery having received hospital treatment after suffering concussion & a perforated eardrum in his 2nd round match against Mostafa Asal.

Lucas has let us know that his injures are ‘’nothing serious & I will be fine after a few days of rest.”

Lucas Serme would like to thank everyone for the texts & messages of support & best wishes, as well as expressing his sympathy for Mostafa Asal who saw his title defence cut short because of the accident.

“Mostafa never meant for anything bad to happen & it is really unfortunate that our match ended that way for both of us.”

“Definitely not the way I thought I would end this year's US Open. Time for some rest before getting back on court!”
