Lwamba & Temwa Chileshe to represent New Zealand at Commonwealth Games

Lwamba & brother Temwa Chileshe will both represent New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games which will be staged in Birmingham, England from the next Thursday.

The two brothers & #teamunsquashable players will each compete in the Men’s Singles as well as playing together in the Men’s Doubles.

Lwamba Chileshe was the runner-up to Paul Coll in the final of the New Zealand National Squash Championships whilst Temwa Chileshe beat Chris van der Salm to win the third-place play-off.

The two brothers are the reigning New Zealand Men’s Doubles Champions & represented New Zealand at the World Doubles Championships in Scotland earlier this year.

The Commonwealth Games, often referred to as the Friendly Games, is an international multi-sport event involving athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations. Over 5,000 athletes will compete at the Commonwealth Games in more than 15 different sports & more than 250 events. The first, second & third-place finishers in each event receive Commonwealth Games Medals: Gold, Silver & Bronze respectively.
