George Parker & Nick Wall reach semi-finals of PSA London Squash Open

Food poisoning curtailed the challenge of Nick Wall in the semi-finals of the PSA London Squash Open against Egypt’s Aly Abou Eleinen, whilst fellow #teamunsquashable player George Parker was unable to overcome Nathan Lake who progressed to the final with a straight-game victory at Cumberland Lawn Tennis Club.

George Parker & fellow #teamunsquashable Nick Wall player will contest the semi-finals of the PSA London Squash Open following straight game quarter-final victories at The Cumberland Club.

Fourth seed Nick Wall will face Aly Abou Eleinen of Egypt after a 45-minute 12-10 12-10 11-7 quarter-final victory over Joe Lee, whilst 2nd seed George Parker will face Nathan Lake after defeating Curtis Malik 11-8 11-9 11-7 in his quarter-final.

George Parker & fellow #teamunsquashable player Nick Wall both progressed to the quarter-finals of the PSA London Squash Open. 2nd seed George Parker defeated Jakub Solnicky of the Czech Republic 11-4 9-11 11-2 11-4, whilst Nick Wall overcame Daniel Poleshchuk of Israel 12-14 6-11 11-3 11-2 11-4.

Former World No.1 James Willstrop of England, who won the PSA London Squash Open in 2018, 2019 & 2021, bowed-out of this year’s championship to compatriot Simon Herbert. Elsewhere in the 2nd round, fellow #teamunsquashable players Rory Stewart & Miles Jenkins were also beaten.

Argentina’s Leandro Romiglio upset the seedings as he beat Scotland’s Rory Stewart, the No.8 seed, in a four-game contest, whilst Miles Jenkins was beaten in a close five-game encounter by Aly Abou Eleinen of Egypt.

Miles Jenkins overcame fellow #teamunsquashable player Yannick Wilhelmi with a hard-fought 50-minute 11-5 11-6 18-16 victory in the 1st round match at the PSA London Squash Open being staged at The Cumberland Club in the UK’s capital.

Miles Jenkins progresses to the 2nd round where he will compete alongside fellow UNSQUASHABLE players James Willstrop, the reigning 3-time champion & top seed who is aiming for a fourth consecutive title, George Parker, Nick Wall & Rory Stewart.
