Rory Stewart reached his maiden Scottish National Championship final at the Edinburgh Sports Club with a succession of fine wins, including an 11-7 9-11 11-5 11-3 semi-final victory over 2nd seed Alan Clyne.

Despite being eventually denied in the final by Scottish No.1 Greg Lobban, who closed-out a hard-fought 11-3 6-11 11-9 11-9 victory in the final, the championships proved a significant landmark for the young Scot whose recent fine form on the PSA World Tour has seen him climb to a career-high World No.66.

Rory Stewart received a bye in the 1st round before defeating Chris Shinnie 11-1 11-4 11-4 in his opening match & Martin Ross 11-7 11-4 11-5 in the quarter-finals

Fellow #teamunsquashable players Fergus Richards & John Meehan also enjoyed success at the championships reaching the semi-finals & quarter-finals respectively.

Fergus Richards reached the semi-finals with wins over Peter Macari, Matthew Bedwell & Alasdair Prott but was unable to progress beyond the eventual winner Greg Lobban who won 11-6 11-6 7-11 11-7.

John Meehan reached the quarter-finals with wins over Ross Henderson & Ewen Urquhart.
