Yannick Wilhelmi reaches semi-finals of PSA Swiss Squash Open

Yannick Wilhelmi was denied a place in the final of the PSA Swiss Squash Open by Marek Panacek of the Czech Republic who overcame the Swiss top seed 6-11 11-2 11-9 11-7 to end any hopes of a home victory at the Squash Arena in Uster.
Despite taking the first game of their semi-final contest to delight the home crowd, Yannick Wilhelmi was unable to prevent Marek Panacek from taking control of the contest. Marek won the second game 11-2, before going on to win both the third & fourth games to secure a hard-fought victory.

Top seed Yannick Wilhelmi of Switzerland recovered from losing the first game against compatriot Robin Gadola to advance into the semi-finals of the PSA Swiss Open with an increasing confident 12-12 12-10 11-6 11-2 victory on the all-glass show court at the Squash Arena in Uster.
Yuri Farneti was beaten in four games in the quarter-finals of the PSA Swiss Open by Ben Smith of England.
The Italian No.1 fought hard to level the match at one game all, but was unable to overcome his English opponent who eventually closed-out an 11-6 8-11 11-5 11-1 victory at the at the Squash Arena in Uster.

Italian No.1 Yuri Farneti & Yannick Wilhelmi of Switzerland have both progressed to the quarter-finals of the PSA Swiss Open being staged at the Squash Arena in Uster.
Top seed Yannick Wilhelmi followed-up his 1st round win over Wild Card Noah Mannhart with a 26-minute 11-7 11-5 11-4 victory over Conor Moran of Ireland, whilst Yuri Farneti claimed his quarter-final place with wins over Joel Siewerdt of Switzerland & a battling 73-minute 11-8 10-12 4-11 11-8 11-6 victory over David Zeman of the Czech Republic.
Yannick Wilhelmi will today play compatriot Robin Gadola whilst Yuri Farneti will face 2nd seed Ben Smith of England.
Fellow #teamunsquashable player Joel Arscott of New Zealand beat Noah Meredith of England 11-4 11-8 11-9 but was denied a place in the quarter-finals by Austrian No.1 Aqeel Rehman who eventually overcame the Kiwi 8-11 11-7 5-11 13-11 11-4 in 68 minutes.
