MOUSTAFA ELSIRTY

Moustafa Elsirty is a former World Junior No.1 and British Junior Open Champion who made his debut on the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour in 2018 and has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting young Egyptian players of his generation.

After joining #teamunsquashable in January 2021, Moustafa Elsirty enjoyed almost unprecedented level of success as he reached at least the quarter-finals of every tournament he played, reaching 11 finals and claiming nine titles. He started the year at World No.83, and would go on to end it, and start 2022 inside the top 30 in the PSA World Rankings.

Moustafa Elsirty started the 2021-2022 season by winning three of his first four tournaments across three different countries. Following his success at the CIB Egyptian Challenger Tour 2 in Cairo, Moustafa won the Madeira International in Portugal followed by the Heroes Graz Open in Austria.

In the final six weeks of 2021, Moustafa Elsirty collected four PSA World Tour titles, winning twice in Pakistan at the CAS – Serena Hotels/Combaxx International Squash Championships in Islamabad & the 15th CNS International Squash Championship Karachi, before claiming victories at the Capra Baerum Open in Norway & CIB Egyptian Challenger Tour 5 in Cairo to make it seven victories in the space of five months.

At the Professional Squash Association’s Annual Awards staged in June 2022, Moustafa Elsirty was voted 2021/22 PSA Men’s Challenger Tour Player of the Year by a PSA Awards Committee comprising influential former players, members of the media and PSA Board representatives.

In October, Moustafa returned to Islamabad in Pakistan to successfully defend his PSA CAS Serena Hotels Combaxx International title with an impressive 49-minute 4-11 11-5 11-8 11-7 victory over compatriot Mohamed Elsherbini at the Mushaf Squash Complex.

In November, Moustafa had to settle for being runner-up in the 2022 FISU World University Squash Championships after top seed & World No.3 Mostafa Asal produced an 11-5 11-7 11-8 victory in the final staged at the Nolet Tennis & Squash Club in New Giza, Egypt.

In November 2023, competing in his first PSA World Tour event since February, Moustafa defeated Rui Soares 11-4 7-11 11-7 11-9 to win the 2023 Madeira International Squash Open staged at the Galo Active Health Club, Funchal, Madeira, Portugal.
