Moustafa Elsirty continued his incredible run of form on the Professional Squash Association (PSA) World Tour by winning his 7th title of the year in Karachi at the 15th CNS International Squash Championship.

The fourth seeded Egyptian received a bye through to the second round where he started his campaign with a 19-minute 11-7 11-8 11-5 victory over compatriot Khaled Labib.

Moustafa Elsirty then defeated Tsz Kwan Lau of Hong Kong 11-9 14-12 11-8 in a 27-minute quarter-final before coming from behind against home favourite Tayyab Aslam to defeat the Pakistan No.1 9-11 11-8 9-11 11-8 11-1 in a highly competitive 53-minute semi-final.

In the final, Moustafa Elsirty, who is at a career-high World No.51 in the PSA World Rankings, came up against Tsz Fung Yip of Hong Kong. Moustafa Elsirty took the lead twice, after winning both the first & third games, but found himself forced into a deciding game after the Hong Kong No.1 won the fourth game for the loss of just three points. However, Moustafa Elsirty was not to be denied & it would be the Egyptian who eventually took the title, winning the final game 11-9 to win the match in 49 minutes.

Moustafa Elsirty now has seven titles in 2021, two more than any other player on the PSA Men’s World Tour.

#teamunsquashable players Todd Harrity of the USA & Amaad Fareed of Pakistan both also featured in the PSA CNS International Squash Championship.

Todd Harrity reached the quarter-finals whilst Amaad Fareed beat Seif Shenawy of Egypt 8-11 12-10 11-8 6-11 11-3 in his opening match before being denied in the 2nd round by 2nd seed Tayyab Aslam.
