YURI FARNETI

Yuri Farneti is the Italian No.1 and an 9-time Italian National Champion who joined #teamunsquashable in 2022 on the eve of representing Italy at the European Team Championships in Eindhoven.

Since joining the PSA in 2014, Yuri Farneti has dominated the Italian squash scene which has seen him win 17 PSA World Tour titles.

In October 2023, following the birth of his first son, Yuri returned successfully to the PSA World Tour by winning the Città d'Italia Squash Championships at the Eurosporting venue in Cordenons, Italy with an 11-6 5-11 11-3 11-9 win over fellow UNSQUASHABLE player John Meehan in the final.

Yuri ended the 2023-24 squash season by registering a series of impressive wins to reach the final of 2024 PSA Gibraltar Open staged at the Europa Sports Centre before eventually being denied by top seed Moustafa El Sirty of Egypt 12-10 10-12 11-9 11-7 in 58 minutes.

As well as increasing our overall presence on the PSA World Tour, Yuri Farneti has been instrumental in raising the visibility, influence and popularity of UNSQUASHABLE in Italy as well as across Southern Europe.

The launch of the UNSQUASHABLE YURI FARNETI AUTOGRAPH squash racket coincided with the 2022 Italian National Squash Championships in Riccione where Yuri was in dominant form, winning an eighth consecutive national title without dropping a single game.

Yuri Farneti ended 2023 by winning a record nineth Italian National Championship and started 2024 by claiming his 17th Professional Squash Association career title at the PSA SquashLife Utrecht Squash Open staged at the impressive Squash Utrecht complex in the Netherlands.
